Nov 3, 2017 路 Hi guys, I have a Q7 2007 and i have the dreaded common A6/Q7 steering lock issue (N360). I have a VAG specialist come out and diagnose it with VCDS as a steering lock ecu failure. After he scanned with VCDS and erased faults the car would start fine, until the next time!. After googling i can confirm it is the steering lock issue.
Feb 5, 2012 路 SOURCE: engine number location for 2002 audi a4 is it a 1.8 turbo or 2.8 V6 or 2.7 biturbo V6 ? on most models what you will be looking for is a 3 letter code like ATQ or APW and is normally on a sticker on the timing belt cover, it is also stamped into the engine on a ledge up high. if no luck there check the owners manual, around the 3rd page there will be a sticker that was put in the book

May 18, 2019 路 I had this pop up twice yesterday. Booked in at the local Audi specialist on Tuesday morning. They said they'll do the usual diagnostic and let me know. They have come across is twice before though. Once it was the park solenoid as previously mentioned and the other believe it or not it was the door lock!

My Audi A6 auto-locks itself while running with the keys inside. This happens repeatedly when I use the 'Start' button to start (i.e. proximity key) and then step out to brush off snow, move something in driveway, etc and then, CLICK, the car lock me out with my keys, phone, everything inside.
